It looks like we're filling up the new blog. I was starting to work on the next Year in Review post, but it just got a little overwhelming for me right now so I'm putting it off until tomorrow. I think I'll watch some more My So Called Life. I finished my self proclaimed "Week at the Creek" last week by watching the series finale after finishing the Season Two set. I noticed that they didn't show Jen's funeral, they just skipped to the reception afterward. This got me remembering the reception at my dad's funeral. I've never been in a situation like that before or since. It was so overwhelming, yet so comforting at the same time. I mean, imagine being in a room with pretty much everyone you ever knew, even random aquaintances, old babysitters, teachers, old friends, family you don't know. It was surreal. So I was just thinking about that, and it made me happy actually. Happy for the life that I have, the people I love, and all the wonderful and not so wonderful memories we share. It was truly one of those sappy holiday moments.
